“Performer of poetic ritual – where every gesture, note, and word becomes sacred theatre.”
Irina Kuzminsky’s artistic style is a captivating blend of mysticism, movement, and lyrical depth. As a poet, dancer, and vocalist, she weaves together disciplines to create performances that are both intellectually rich and emotionally resonant. Her work often explores sacred feminine archetypes – Kali, Mary Magdalene, Sophia, Isis – through expressive choreography and vocals, set against ambient or classical soundscapes. Visually, her performances are ritualistic and symbolic, using flowing costumes, lighting and shadow play to evoke transformation and inner awakening. Irina’s style is deeply spiritual yet grounded in technical precision, inviting audiences into a space where art becomes a vehicle for healing, empowerment, and transcendence.
Poetry and Dance fusion shows:
Classical Performance Art
Irina has created two unique one woman poetry and dance fusion shows, written, composed and choreographed by her: Dancing with Dark Goddesses and Coming Through, seen in New York (Manhattan Theatre Source, Dixon Place, Producers Club), the UK (Stroud and Bath), Germany (Saarlouis), and Melbourne (Club Voltaire, Dancehouse, The Butterfly Club). These are pieces of classical performance art, integrating dance, movement and the sung and spoken word.

2. Dancing with dark goddesses
Inspired by her poetry collection, this show explores female archetypes and spirituality. It integrates spoken word, music, and dance, continuing Irina’s academic work on the “language of women”. Praised for its intellectual depth and emotive power, it laid the foundation for her later works.
The dance is life – life is the dance – in all its manifestations, in all its sorrow and joy, cruelty and beauty. And the faces of the Dark Goddesses are many – some are dark with veiling and unknowing, some are dark with sorrow, some are dark with mystery and a light so great that it paradoxically shades them from sight. Spiritual and sexual, earthy and refined, a woman’s voice speaks to women and to the feminine in women and men – of an openness to life, a surrender to the workings of love, and a trust in the Dark Goddesses and their ways of leading us through the dance
Locations: UK (Heaven’s Gate Festival, Stroud; Bath), New York (Manhattan Theatre Source, Dixon Place, Producers Club), Germany (Saarlouis); Melbourne (Club Voltaire, Dancehouse)
